Alexander the Great

• Born in 356 BC
• Born in Pella the capital of Macedon, which is now part of Greece, but was a separate country then
• He was the son of Philip II, the King of Macedon, he was related to Hercules
• His mum was called Olympias, she was related to Achilles

Once when some Persians came to visit Alexander killed a lion.

Alexander and his friends were taught by Aristotle

Alexander went to war with his friends to destroy the Persian empire which had picked on Greece and Macedon for years.
